'CITY UNSEEN℠: A New [AR]t' Opening

Snap! Orlando presents 'CITY UNSEEN℠' - an ongoing public art project with in-gallery experiences, exhibitions, and installations across Orlando. This project opens artistic borders by launching the city into Augmented Reality [ AR ] experiences, with brilliant fusions of works by internationally renowned artists and cutting-edge AR technology. CITY UNSEEN℠ will position Orlando as a pioneer with a new vision for the fusion of art and technology in the 21st century and serve as a platform for discussion about social, cultural, and environmental issues affecting those around us.

Gallery artists included Los Angeles artist Nancy Baker Cahill, Turkish digital artist Can Büyükberber, Marc-O-Matic, Dengke Chen, Ivan Toth Depeña (Studio), Central Florida installation artists Marc Gerstein and Synthestruct, and a special interactive installation on opening night by Central Florida installation artists Matt Roberts and Terri Witek.

New public [AR] art installations by Miami multi disciplinary artist Felice Grodin, German street artist Mark Gmehling, Inside Out Project, Matthew Swenson, Nancy Baker Cahill, and Can Büyükberber. Experiences included murals coming to life, a projection mapping finding permanence into the virtual world, and a teleport bringing the viewer into a 360 degree visit to the artist’s Los Angeles studio.

The ‘CITY UNSEEN℠’ app and all other information is available at cityunseen.us and installations are permanently on display for viewing.
