'Chris Robb: Physical Currency’ Opening

Public Art, City of Orlando in partnership with Snap! Orlando present: Chris Robb : ‘Physical Currency’, a one person exhibition at the Terrace Gallery, Orlando City Hall.

About the Work

A survey of Chris Robb’s work from the past decade offers a glimpse into his subconscious—a visual iconography that might seem random at first glance, but is actually quite controlled. When approaching Robb’s imagery, it is important to understand the self-imposed elements of control that allow him to take in information from the world around him and distill it into an end result that is devoid of evidence of that source material. A physical process that is laid bare, ensuring purity. He offers up a physical currency, unique and authentic to his work and life, a body of work commanding the space without demanding anything of the viewer—proving his belief that something can be more beautiful when allowed to speak for itself.
