Snap! Space’s opening exhibit and installation celebrates the rebirth of the historic Cameo Theater with the work of 12 international photographers, along with sculpture, design, jewelry, and fashion arts. ‘Vintage Nouveau’ showcased works from the legendary photographers who captured the stars of Hollywood and rock-and-roll, and introduced bold images from rising stars in fashion photography.

Zhang Jingna (zemotion) was born in Beijing and raised in Singapore, and is now a photographer based in New York. Her works have been seen in Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Photo Vogue and L’Officiel. Her work was exhibited in Singapore, Hong Kong and Milan. In October 2013, she was showcased at Marc by Marc Jacobs with Vulture Magazine.

Hog Eat Hog is known for its soulful, southern inspired furniture & art installations, all which find their genesis from lead designer, Blair Sligar.

Patricia Steur began her career in 1980, working with magazines, photographing celebrities (Stevie Ray Vaughn, Andy Warhol and Bono) and shooting CD covers. Since 1987, Steur has had 28 exhibitions in Holland and abroad. Her most recent publications are “Dutch Beauty,” a book and exhibition about powerful women from all walks of life who made a difference for the Netherlands and “Willy de Ville,” a book about the rock and roll legend with photographs dated back as early as 1981.

Legendary British photographer Gered Mankowitz covered the rock music scene over the last 40 years. Some of his portraits of rock musicians, such as The Rolling Stones, Kate Bush, Jimi Hendrix and Slade, are now part of the permanent collection of the National Portrait Gallery.

Paul Saltzman is a two-time Canadian Emmy Award-winning film and television producer-director with more than 300 films to his credit. In 1968, he traveled to India for the first and learned meditation at the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi’s ashram in the holy city of Rishikesh, India, and was invited by The Beatles, who coincidentally were visiting the ashram, to join them. While there, he spent time with and photographed the Beatles. His dozens of photos have been judged, “some of the best intimate shots” ever taken and have been seen in galleries worldwide. We are honored to have this lenticular image at our opening exhibit.

Tina Luther is an international fashion photographer based in Hamburg, Germany, whose works have been published in Vogue, Madame, Marie Claire US, Harper’s Bazaar, Grazia, Glamour, and Tatler UK.

Rebecca Rose 'Sculpturings' are beautifully created pieces redefined beyond their traditional sense, each piece with unique form and storytelling, blending luxury with urban activism relevant to current social issues. Rebecca sketches, assembles, carves, invests, kiln fires, and casts her own work in her home studio. Rebecca's work was also exhibited at Beijing Museum of Contemporary Art in China, Scope Art Gallery in San Francisco and was The Halstead Grant 2013 winner.

German photographer Axel Crieger's work combines a variety of photographs, effects, and narrations. His work has garnered critical acclaim, numerous awards and was published in magazines worldwide, including in the original Andy Warhol’s ‘Interview.’ He has been showcased and collected in Berlin, New York, Amsterdam, Sao Paulo, Zurich, Moscow, Los Angeles and Miami. Terry O'Neill is one of the world’s most collected photographers whose work hangs in national art galleries and private collections worldwide. For over six decades, he has photographed the front line of fame, from the greats of screen and stage to presidents, prime ministers and rock stars. Roger Weber is a fashion photographer based in Hamburg, Germany who is known for his ‘Cinematic’ style and approach to photography. He has exhibited at the Annual Cannes Fashion Photography Festival and his work has appeared in British Vogue, Marie Claire, Elle, and Glamour.

Sculptor Chris Scala brought his 'Wireforms" and "Ocean Works" series to our inaugural exhibit. Using wire cloth as an expressive medium, Chris creates volumes and forms that the observer is able to see through, inside and around. Scala's series "Ocean Works" comes from his fascination with the way sea organisms attach themselves to metal that is left underwater. He sculpts pieces of metal and places them under the sea for several months while they actually grow and evolve into something else, something incredibly beautiful.

Polish photographer Szymon Brodziak (one of Snap! Orlando's 2013 ‘Motion to Light’ headliners) revisited us at our Snap! Space opening exhibit. Szymon's work has been published in fashion magazines around the world, including Italian Vogue. He is a 3 time Gold Medal recipient at PX3 Prix de la Photographie Paris. At the 2013 Cannes Film Festival, he was officially declared by FashionTV, as the world’s best black & white campaign photographer. Exhibited at Snap! Space courtesy of FACTORY311™.

Wesley Geometry of N)th Dimension combines form and functionality through geometric paper art. He has created origami light installations for our Snap! Space Bibliotheque.

Daniel Wilson (based in Seattle, Washington) recently developed a stunning technique for adhering special fabrics to leaves used as print medium.These beautifully printed leaves cascaded around a fashion installation by Xiaolin- Fashion Designer.

Xiaolin- Fashion Designer, Julia Marie Chew, was born in China and resides in Tampa, FL. Her stunning hand-sewn couture garments combine elements of untamed nature and allure. Julia won the award for Park Avenue Fashion Week Emerging Designer this past November.
