On January 14th and 15th from 10am-6pm, participate in the recording of community portraits and interviews with the NOMADIC PHOTO ARK, while immersing in the new CITY UNSEEN℠: LOVE SEEKS UNITY Mural featuring Jennifer Desire.

NOMADIC PHOTO ARK

The NOMADIC PHOTO ARK is traveling to Central Florida to record the portraits and stories of area residents as part of photographer Monica Jane Frisell and Adam Scher’s ongoing national project, Portrait of US. Frisell and Scher travel with a converted cargo trailer photo dark room conducting interviews in small communities across the country. In a collaboration between Maitland Arts Center and Snap! Orlando, Nomadic Photo Ark will capture the portraits of local community members in Parramore on the weekend of January 14-15. Parramore residents who would like to participate, can have their portraits taken and will receive their own heirloom black & white print.

LOVE SEEKS UNITY MURAL

Snap! Orlando presents a new installation of our award-winning Augmented Reality Public [AR]t Project, CITY UNSEEN℠. The LOVE SEEKS UNITY mural, which was decommissioned due to recent renovations of a Parramore office building , will be revived through Augmented Reality. Smartphone users will be able to activate a fully animated, and interactive 3D image of the mural, and experience it with animation and a voice over by Desire.
