CITY Unseen Public [AR]t Guided Tour
Snap! Downtown proudly presented a guided tour of CITY UNSEEN’s augmented reality [AR] public art installations. Experiences included murals coming to life, a projection mapping finding permanence into the virtual world, and a teleport bringing the viewer into a 360° visit of the artist’s studio. Installations by Felice Grodin, Can Büyükberber, Nancy Baker Cahill, Mark Gmehling and Matthew Swenson.
Felice created the first permanent AR installation at the Perez Art Museum in Miami, installed during Art Basel 2017. Felice holds a Master of Architecture with Distinction from Harvard University School of Design, Cambridge, MA.
Felice's Permanent Public [AR]t Installation for CITY UNSEEN, titled 'Below Sea Level' will be installed on the lawn at Dr. Phillips Center, 445 S. Magnolia Ave, Orlando, FL 32801.
Keep in mind that these are permanent virtual installations. You can visit CITY UNSEEN anytime and the CITY UNSEEN app is available at cityunseen.us. When you visit a site, look for the plaque to activate the AR. Read it and follow instructions. Enjoy the art.
